With applications closing in September, now is the time to apply for a coastal grant and gain support for your coastal cause or activity.
GORCC has again made $5,000 available to go towards approved environmental and community activities in coastal areas under their management.
The program provides up to $5,000 each round to support initiatives focused on looking after our local coast and communities.
Previously, grant rounds have funded a range from projects ranging from cigarette butt bins to weed control and revegetation and from educational projects to coastal events.
Earlier in 2012, The Lorne Aquatic and Angling Club (LAAC) gained funding to install a brand new drinking fountain as part of GORCC’s Coastal Grants Program to service both the Lorne community and their pets. The group’s project is another example of how diverse successful applications for a coastal grant can be!

This year, as with previous years, grants will be provided to those wishing to undertake an approved environmental or community activity in a coastal area. Projects must have a coastal focus and be related to the 37km of Crown foreshore land between Torquay and Lorne managed by GORCC.
